Jesus helps young Malaysian man prepare for exams

Before Ron from Malaysia met Jesus, he'd lost interest in studying because at the age of 13, his father asked him to leave school to help with the family’s stall business. Even though Ron loved his father dearly, he was so disappointed by his father’s decision that he even lost interest in living. He loved school that much. Realizing his son’s deep disappointment, Ron’s father allowed him to continue in school, but Ron still couldn’t focus on his studies because he kept worrying about his dad and the family business. Many times, Ron cried at school because he felt life was unfair.

On September 13, 1977, Ron was given a Bible as a birthday present. After reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John over and over again, Ron met the one he was waiting to meet: the Lord Jesus Christ. On October 9, 1977 at 3:00 pm, Ron started praying. As soon as he committed his life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, his love for studying returned. But his General Education exams were just two months away! Ron just prayed and tried his best. He passed these important exams but wasn’t completely satisfied with the scores in a few subjects. So, he retook his exams with the financial help of a Christian brother that he paid back in installments. After the second exam, he improved greatly every subject! The two certificates prove what Jesus did for Ron. With a passion to study, Ron enrolled into a Bible school two years later; and today, both he and his wife have PhD’s in Theology. They have two adult sons, who also have their master's degrees. Ron praises the Lord for his goodness, saying, "He’s never failed us from 1977 until now!”
